SOLONAS accessibility illustration with Apple Watch, iPhone, and interface elements

Core practices

  • Readable type scale and adequate line height.
  • Color contrast targeting WCAG 2.1 AA (and better where possible).
  • Large, finger-friendly touch targets on Watch and iPhone.
  • Clear focus styles and visible states for interactive elements.
  • Icons paired with text labels where clarity helps.

Content & semantics

  • Structured headings for screen reader navigation.
  • Descriptive link text (“Install guide”) instead of “click here”.
  • Informative alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately.
  • ARIA only when native semantics do not suffice.

Apple Watch

  • Large controls and simplified layout for glanceability.
  • Haptic feedback on key actions (play/pause, scrub start/end).
  • Respects system text size, bold text, and Reduce Motion where applicable.

iPhone

  • Dynamic Type where practical; scalable labels and buttons.
  • VoiceOver-friendly labels for player controls and track metadata.
  • Respects Reduce Motion and prefers subtle transitions.

Website Accessibility

  • Consistent navigation with keyboard and screen reader support.
  • Landmarks (header, main, footer) and logical heading order.
  • High-contrast themes with dark-mode support.

Known Limitations & Improvements

  • We are refining VoiceOver announcements for scrubbing on Watch.
  • Screenshots and decorative images are being audited for consistent alt text.

If you encounter any barrier, please tell us so we can prioritize a fix.
